First-person notes on product decisions, execution, and lessons from this project.

Goodstart+ is an educational platform developed to centralize the digital experience of Goodstart students.

The project was born from the need to transform an English teaching service into a more organized, scalable, and easy-to-use digital product. Instead of relying only on live classes, scattered links, external materials, and manual processes, the platform brings together courses, activities, complementary content, interactive resources, and student journey support in a single environment.

The purpose of Goodstart+ is to combine education, product, and technology. The platform needs to work well for beginner students, adult professionals, teachers, and the school’s own operation. For that reason, the focus of the project is not only on the interface, but also on content organization, route structure, the mobile experience, and the possibility of continuously evolving the product.

What was built

Goodstart+ includes a public area focused on content, SEO, and new user acquisition, as well as an internal area for students with access to courses, lessons, activities, and exclusive resources.

The main elements of the platform include:

  • structured pages for courses and educational content;
  • interactive activities for English practice;
  • materials organized by level, topic, and objective;
  • an experience optimized for desktop and mobile;
  • a technical foundation prepared for mobile app integration;
  • a content architecture designed to grow with new courses, modules, and formats.

Role in the project

In this project, I worked on the conception, structure, and development of the platform, connecting product, design, content, and technical implementation decisions.

The work involved transforming the school’s real needs into a clearer digital experience for students. This included thinking about how courses should be organized, how users would navigate the platform, how content could be reused across different areas, and how the technical structure could continue to evolve without depending on rigid solutions.

Product and technology decisions

The platform was built with a focus on performance, control, and flexibility. The choice of Astro, TypeScript, and Cloudflare makes it possible to create a fast, modular experience prepared for growth.

The architecture also makes it easier to create SEO-optimized public pages while maintaining an organized foundation for internal content, reusable components, and future integrations with authentication systems, databases, automations, and the mobile app.

The project prioritizes:

  • fast loading speed;
  • scalable content structure;
  • control over design and user experience;
  • ease of creating new pages and modules;
  • future integration with product features, data, and automation.

Result

Goodstart+ now works as the school’s main digital foundation. More than a website, it represents Goodstart’s transition toward its own educational product model, with a more consistent experience for students and more control for the operation.

The project also serves as a practical demonstration of how I work: combining business vision, user experience, educational content, and web development to create real digital platforms used by real people.

Opinion

Ainda vale a pena usar WordPress em 2026?

WordPress é a resposta padrão para quem quer um site, mas na prática a maioria das pessoas acaba tão dependente de um dev quanto qualquer outra solução.
